Carlson School offers individualised learning programmes for all students based on the New Zealand Curriculum with particular emphasis on providing opportunities to develop the Key Competencies of:

Programmes and topics related to the learning areas of literacy, numeracy, the arts, health and physical education, science, social sciences and technology provide contexts in which students develop these competencies at their individual levels of understanding and achievement.
We also offer an array of specifically designed programmes to meet students' abilities and levels of learning. Teachers are supported to implement particular programmes or approaches for individual students that include:

Staff plan education outside the classroom experiences for our students which enrich our students’ learning and knowledge of their community.
