Carlson School offers individualised learning programmes for all students based on the New Zealand Curriculum with particular emphasis on providing opportunities to develop the Key Competencies of:

- Participating and contributing
Programmes and topics related to the learning areas of literacy, numeracy, the arts, health and physical education, science, social sciences and technology provide contexts in which students develop these competencies at their individual levels of understanding and achievement.

Staff plan education outside the classroom experiences for our students which enrich our students’ learning and knowledge of their community.
