Community

We have many visitors to Carlson School ranging from students to local or overseas teachers who wish to see our programmes.

We host Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language and College of Education students. Students from other local schools, visit Carlson and spend time in the classrooms working with our students, as part of their social awareness programme.
We see ourselves as a resource centre for children with physical disabilities and all visitors are welcome.

• One of the largest toy libraries in Auckland  

We have liaison with Public Health Nurses and a variety of services offered through them. 

We use the swimming pool at Laura Ferguson pool.   

 As part of the curriculum we have shopping theme based visits to local shopping centres.
